don't eat the fish from the bay

I was in a food gathering mood on Sunday. I went to the farmer's market at Civic Center and got some tasty pears. Yum yum!

Later in the day, I went to the garage to pull out the bike that I'd fixed up the day before with Lance. We worked so hard getting it ship shape. Unfortunately, I discovered a world of suck with the back tire. Have you ever had this happen to you? You fix the front tire, then discover that the reason the back tire was flat originally, was not due to neglect, rather, to a very slow leak. Luckily I had a spare tube. Once I got the bike back in working order, I took it down to the pier.

At the pier, I briefly thought about borrowing a fishing pole from one of the many fisherpeople, but balked once I saw this sign.

As you can see, any fish I caught would only be good for Karen at most once a month. That was a risk I was just not willing to take, even for free fish (once I caught them). They are not good for pregnant women (pregs).
